Hunting for Gold

The twins jumped down onto the beach, and the hot sand burnt their bare feet: ow! ow! ow! So they quickly put on their sandals and ran towards the island's "back left leg".

Adam began sweeping the metal detector slowly over the sand, just as he had read in the instructions. Noor began digging with her little spade everywhere at once, as fast as lightning.

After a few minutes, the detector beeped: Beep! Beep! Beep!

"Gold!" shouted Noor. "We've found it!" She dug like mad until sand flew in every direction.

And she pulled out... a rusty fizzy-drink can.

She stared at it in disappointment. Adam tried not to laugh. "Well... maybe the pirate liked fizzy drinks."

The detector beeped again. Noor dug, and found a bottle top. Then an old nail. Then a broken metal spoon.
